Volunteers for our Empty Bowls event @ The Umbrella community arts center
Bring your skills at putting on a celebration. Do you enjoy the arts and enjoy meeting people? Help a charity fighting hunger.
What: Volunteers will help set up, serve, greet guests, staff the donation box, arrange bowls and help clean up depending on their time selection.
About the event:
http://www.emptybowls.net/ Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to fight hunger. The Umbrella’s potters worked with the community to create handcrafted bowls. At the event guests are invited to a simple meal. In exchange for a cash donation, guests keep a bowl. The money raised is donated to an organization working to end hunger. Our donations will go to Open Table in Concord.
