Help save a life. Become an American Cancer Society Look Good Feel Better program volunteer. Cancer radiation and chemotherapy treatments can have a physical and emotional impact on women's appearance and self esteem. Personal Care Products Council, in cooperation with the American Cancer Society and the Personal Beauty Association, developed and launched the Look Good Feel Better program to help cancer patients look good and feel better.
The American Cancer Society trains licensed beauty professionals (cosmetologists, estheticians, nail technicians) to facilitate LGFB classes at a free Certification Class. Non-licensed volunteers are needed to coordinate LGFB classes. Coordinators assist with preparing for sessions including patient and facility confirmations, set up and break down, inventory and record-keeping.
