ORGANIZATION: Sea Save Foundation

Malibu is famous for surfing, ocean, beach parties and fun! To bring this unique community together in support of ocean conservation, we are launching a monthly series of evening midweek talks. The gatherings, held at Duke’s Malibu, will feature scientists, artists, celebrities and ocean conservationists who are making a difference and have a story to tell.

Our ideal candidate has a strong passion for oceans, loves to work with people and has a drive to get things done. The coordinator will collaborate with Malibu community leaders and Sea Save Foundation social media and public relations teams.

Description

Sea Save Foundation approaches conservation from two fronts:

  1. We develop and promote inspiring educational campaigns that showcase the beauty of ocean flora and fauna and underscore the current challenges facing our marine ecosystems.
  2. We couple serious environmental issues with concrete advocacy campaigns undertaken by our supporters and partners. With these programs, we hope to raise awareness about the importance of ocean conservation and create sustainable, healthy ecosystems for generations to come. It’s your ocean. Do something about it!
