Are you looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity with immediate impact? Become a volunteer Affordable Care Act (ACA) Enrollment Counselor so you can help individuals and families understand their health coverage options, enroll in affordable health care and learn how to use their insurance. As an ACA Enrollment Counselor, you can make a life-changing difference in someone's health. We have an especially high need for bilingual Spanish speakers! Meet individually with clients to:

  • Explain how the Health Marketplace works, and the levels and plans available
  • Provide recommended considerations for selecting a level and plan
  • Show them how to enroll
  • Walk through the online enrollment process with clients to help them successfully enroll

Enrollment Counselors get certified through a FREE online training that you can do from the comfort of your own home! Volunteers who successfully complete certification must commit to volunteer at a minimum of four (4) Enrollment Sessions between November 1, 2015 - January 31, 2016. Enrollment events are mostly on weekends with some weekday and weeknight options. Contact Terry at tgoplerud@nvfs.org or 571.748.2582 .
