ORGANIZATION: Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington

Greet men as they enter the shelter; distribute soup, soap and hope. Your presence and greeting affirms the dignity of the people and enables the staff to move around the shelter and help people get settled. Shelter Hospitality tasks include: greeting people, serving dinner, distributing sheets, distributing mail, and other activities. Commitment required is once a week from 6:30PM-8:30PM for 6 months. It'll change your life!

Description

For more than 80 years, families, children and adults in need of help and hope have been able to turn to Catholic Charities to find comprehensive, caring and competent support. Last year our 63 programs working in 48 locations across the District of Columbia and the surrounding Maryland counties served more than 126,000 men, women and children of all economic, religious and social backgrounds.
