ORGANIZATION: Easter Seals Oregon Money Management Program

The Oregon Money Management Program is seeking a volunteer with strong leadership, organizational and team-building skills to fill a Team Leader position. This is an exciting opportunity to build and mentor a team of volunteers in your community and provide a much needed service that protects vulnerable individuals from fraud, financial abuse, anxiety and loss of independence. The Oregon Money Management Program helps low-income seniors and people with disabilities maintain financial stability thorough one-on-one service provided by trained volunteers. Training and on-going support is provided. A one year commitment of at least 8 hours per month is required.

Description

For 60 years the Oregon affiliate of Easter Seals has helped children and adults with autism, developmental disabilities, physical and mental disabilities, and other special needs--and their families--live fulfilling and independent lives. Through therapy, training, education, and support services, Easter Seals Oregon has helped tens of thousands of people throughout Oregon. With service centers in Portland, Salem, and Medford and programs delivered throughout the state, Easter Seals Oregon offers comprehensive services in such areas as: employment training and job placement; camping and recreation; and respite; poststroke support, and money management for seniors and people with disabilities.
