PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Respond to local large disasters that affect numerous individuals and families. Choose between helping run a shelter; feeding those affected in a mobile feeding vehicle; working in logistics; help mobilize other volunteers; communications/marketing. These types of disasters are usually tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding or terrorist attaches.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Training depends on the specific area of disaster response you are willing to serve in. ｠Response time can range from a 2 hour response to a 12 hour shift. ｠Volunteers determine how much time they give.
Disaster Services: An Overview (online or in classroom) - approximately 2-3 hours
