Join us Tuesday, October 6th at 7pm in Sterling for a Volunteer Information Session to find out how you can help your neighbors enroll in affordable health care. You will learn:

  • Why your help is needed and the impact it will make
  • What the Certified Application Counselor (CAC) role entails
  • The basics of the Affordable Care Act
  • How to get the training you need to be successful (it's online and FREE)
  • What's involved during an enrollment session with a client
  • Time and commitment expectations
  • Much more

As a CAC you will assist at a variety of open enrollment events and meet individually with clients to help them understand their health coverage options, help them get enrolled in a qualified health care plan and understand their benefits. The Affordable Care Act's 3rd open enrollment cycle runs November 1, 2015 - January 31, 2016.

RSVP to Terry at tgoplerud@nvfs.org, 571.748.2582 . Attending doesn’t obligate you to sign up to volunteer.

Need some convincing? Read these testimonials!

  • One CAC volunteer said, "I feel like I really helped people."
  • Another said the most rewarding part is "being successful at helping folks find a solution to their insurance problem [and] seeing how excited they are to get coverage."
