The Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville is excited to announce our 12th annual Buddy Walk, happening Saturday, November 8th. The Walk will take place at Jacksonville Beach, near the Sea Walk Pavilion. Festivities begin at 11:30am, when the McKenna's Midway Carnival opens, along with numerous bounce houses, rides and games for the kids. We will also have face painting, a Baby Zone, Food vendors and trucks, DJ, and more. Our Buddy Walk will begin at 2pm, after announcements and awards. The event is free and open to the public. Some rides will require money, along with our food vendors. We would love to have your group out to volunteer this year. We are especially looking for cheer teams and a drum line! Remember, our annual Buddy Walk Volunteer meeting is coming up Tuesday, Oct. 21st, at 6pm. Please let us know if you can attend. If you know of any businesses who might be interested in sponsorship, time is running out to help sponsor this event! See the attached flyer for sponsorship levels and benefits.
