Lenox Hill Neighborhhood House, widely recognized as one of New York's premier human services providers, is a 120-year-old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated services which significantly improve the lives of 20,000 people in need each year, age 3 to 103 on the East Side of Manhattan. We are seeking a volunteer to lead a conversational Italian class for beginner level students once per week at our Innovative Senior Center on East 70th Street. Our senior center provides the most expansive array of programming of any senior center and sets the standard for senior center operations in the City. This volunteer position is available weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Description
Lenox Hill Neighborhood House was founded in 1894 by the Alumnae Association of Normal College (now known as Hunter College of the City University of New York) as a free kindergarten for the children of indigent immigrants. Since then, we have remained at the forefront of community advocacy and social and educational change.
