Hello. We are seeking volunteers to help us prep, set-up and/or cook a Thanksgiving meal for homeless youth, homeless families and seniors who may be alone on Thanksgiving Day.
We are seeking volunteers for (a minimum of two hours) on Monday 11/24, Tuesday, 11/25 and Thanksgiving Eve 11/26 from 10 am - 7 pm. On Thanksgiving Day we will begin service at 12 pm until 4 pm and we could also use some volunteer servers and other help.
We are planning for a minimum of 150 people, so we really could use a hand. Teens are also welcomed as well as donations.

Description
In April 2007, we began recruiting volunteers to help sexually exploited girls in the 6th and 7th grade who were being forced into prostitution in the Pittsburgh community of Atlanta. That same year, an 12-year old named the organization during a formation meeting with "adults" in a Stone Mountain living room, when she walked by and asked, "Can I participate, don't young people matter?" That young lady shares the title of our longest employee, along with our Founder.
Since that time, we have dedicated ourselves to helping young people and families in crisis situations throughout the Greater Atlanta area.
From 2011 to 2014, we operated the first emergency youth shelter, in DeKalb County, GA. which served homeless, runaway, abused, neglected and abandoned young people statewide, who have lost hope in their futures. YPM was the only youth shelter with open access serving girls in Metro Atlanta.
YPM is an organization that is results and outcome driven. We transform our supporters into evangelists, treat other organizations as partners--not competitors, and respect the ideas and values of the young people we serve. We believe by doing so, we will have the leverage to transform society and convert the dreams, hopes and aspirations of young people into reality.
