RefugeeOne's Housing Department is seeking a part-time intern and/or volunteer who is avaliable on weekdays 9-5 to prepare housing for resettled clients. We ask that you can commit 1 or 2 days per week.
Applicants should be able to lift 50 lbs. and be able to climb stairs. Hours, start dates, and end dates are somewhat flexible. The ideal applicant has completed high-school and some college and has great organizational and interpersonal skills.

About us: RefugeeOne is a secular 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that provides a full range of services to refugees displaced from their homelands due to war or persecution and resettled in the Chicago metropolitan area by the U.S. State Department. Every year, our organization helps these refugees secure housing, learn English, acclimate to American culture, develop computer and other employable skills, find jobs, access medical and other care, navigate the public school system for their children, apply for citizenship, and obtain care for elderly family members.
