# Rock the Film Festival Circuit - Submission Manager

ORGANIZATION: Sea Save Foundation

Film Festival Submission Volunteer Needed

Curious about film festivals? Become our Film Festival Submission Kahuna! Sea Save Foundation has created a dynamic educational music video called "Big Blue Town." We need an energetic, committed volunteer to help us submit this work to appropriate film festivals in the United States and abroad. This fanciful film uses powerful footage, on-screen talent, and the magic of a mermaid to deliver a powerful message: Sharks are critical to the health of our oceans, but they are being poached, and without them our "Big Blue Town" will become barren.

The process of submitting a film to the circuit is a great way to help promote our mission. This will be an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the behind-the-scenes submission process, or a chance to use your current skill set to help our oceans.

Our ideal volunteer is interested in making a difference in ocean conservation and/or wants to learn more about films, film festivals and the submission process. S/he is interested in learning; has strong attention to detail and good writing skills; enjoys research and can find information quickly on the Internet; is comfortable tracking down and calling film festival coordinators if questions arise; understands the importance of making deadlines and achieving individual and team goals; displays a positive attitude and strong work ethic; and is comfortable working on a virtual platform. Films will be submitted via the withoutabox.com platform.

Mission Statement

Sea Save Foundation stands witness to the health of the oceans and the threats they face, we document problems and develop solutions, arm people with knowledge, and tools so they can make a difference. With the public as our ally, we go to the United Nations and other global bodies to effect international change. We attend these meetings so we can offer creative, economically viable, sustainable, and environmentally friendly plans to decision-makers. We also make sure everyone is doing their best to meet their targets.

Description

Sea Save Foundation approaches conservation from two fronts:

  1. We develop and promote inspiring educational campaigns that showcase the beauty of ocean flora and fauna and underscore the current challenges facing our marine ecosystems.
  2. We couple serious environmental issues with concrete advocacy campaigns undertaken by our supporters and partners. With these programs, we hope to raise awareness about the importance of ocean conservation and create sustainable, healthy ecosystems for generations to come. It’s your ocean. Do something about it!
