Stipend volunteer opportunity in Mid or Western Wayne County to provide in home respite to caregivers by spending time, preparing meals, helping around the house, taking the client to an appointment, or out somewhere fun. In exchange for this service, volunteers will receive a monthly taxable living allowance, pre-service training and monthly training that can translate to job skills in the future, and an educational benefit upon completion of the one-year commitment. The time commitment is approximately 12 hours per week from now until October 31 2015 . Volunteers must have their own transportation, and you do not provide any direct care like bathing or showering. Mostly companionship is needed. A few Positions still open for this opportunity. At PVM, we take great pride in providing a sense of community and we consider each resident to be a member of our family. All of our Villages offer Independent Living. Many additionally offer Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing Care, Rehab Care and Memory Care. Each of our residents receives a 24-hour emergency response pendant to ensure their safety. There is peace of mind in knowing that, if something were to happen, PVM is there for them.
