Boys and Girls Country kids benefit greatly from individual and group counseling sessions to help work through challenging life experiences. If you are a Licensed Professional Counselor, have a Masters of Social Work, or are in practicum and receiving supervised hours towards a license and enjoy working with kids in a casual atmosphere, come take a tour of our campus. Our mission is to change the lives of children from families in crisis by loving and nurturing them in a Christian Home environment, raising them to become self-sustaining and contributing adults.
Description
Boys and Girls Country was established in 1971 to provide a loving Christian Home for children in need. We serve children from families in crisis primarily from the greater Houston area. Boys and Girls Country has capacity to serve 56 boys and 32 girls, ages 5-18, a total of 88 children at any one time. Not included in this number are 43 others each year who are still supported by the Home after they have graduated from high school and gone on to college, trade school, the military, or first jobs. We have been home for over 1,375 children during our history.
