If helping your neighbors is something that gives you personal satisfaction, consider scheduling appointments or greeting clients for free, confidential income tax assistance to low and moderate income Fox Cities taxpayers, with special emphasis on those who are age 50 and older.
Appointment Schedulers work from home using their personal computers while Site Greeters welcome taxpayers at sites on their appointed day and time. No previous experience is required. Comprehensive training is provided. Experience with using computers is desirable, however.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide / TCE helped file over 2,400 returns for 2018 at sites in Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, Kaukauna and Little Chute. Work sessions are on weekdays in four-hour segments - 8:00am-12:00 noon or 12:00 noon-4:00pm.
In addition, tax return volunteers are needed to prepare federal and state tax returns. Training is provided to obtain IRS certification.
