Do you find excitement in helping young girls discover their passion or guiding them toward their career paths? Are you knowledgeable in the areas of Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Graphic Design, and/or Research and Development? If so, Girl Scouts is looking for you for Cookie University!

Cookie University is an annual program held in conjunction with Girl Scout Cookie Rally and targets the Cadette-Ambassador aged Girl Scouts. For our 2015 event, we are looking for volunteers to become "Course Professors" in the six course offerings listed above as well as two "Technology Professionals" who are tech savvy and willing to assist with any technological needs for the event. Becoming a "Professor" or "Professional" does not mean you will need to have those credentials, however, we would prefer current third year or higher college students and/or adult volunteers with experience for these positions.

If you are interested in volunteering for Cookie University, please visit our Sign Up Geniuse page and sign up for the position you are interested in http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a45aeaa22a6f94-cookie

Mission Statement

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.

Description

Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
