Ridgewood Community Library wants to bring the art of performance and improvisation to the neighborhood. We are seeking an experienced performer to work with older teens and adults to create short works that can be showcased throughout the year. This is a perfect opportunity for emerging artists, writers, aspiring film students to help create a learning lab filled with eager participants looking to take their creativity to a higher level. Requirements

Volunteer would be:

  • Interested in working with teen and adult beginners unfamiliar with performing and improvisation techniques
  • Able to work in both an 1-on-1 and small group setting to help build understanding and ability of participants
  • Experience in working from the "page to the stage" and helping create working scripts and story ideas that can be tranistioned into performance works
  • Available Monday-Friday afternoons for 2-3 hours a week
