Put your unique vision of the world to use! Ridgewood Community Library is seeking volunteers to assist with craft projects for children from Pre-K - 8th grades. Volunteers will work with the Children's Librarian to create new projects that appeal to kids and inspire them to explore books, characters, stories, magazines, and music! Volunteers will help set-up new projects, work with children in both 1-on-1 and small groups, and help with clean-up.
Requirements- Interested in working on arts and craft activities; and possess an interest in the arts (music, drawing, writing/storytelling)
- Comfortable working with young children (4-6) and/or school-aged children (7-12).
- Be familiar with different literacy characters and/or able to use library resources (books, music, ect.) to help develop project ideas
- Must be 14 and up. Minors must have parental consent and valid work papers.
- Volunteers are needed for 2-3 hours between 3:00pm - 6:00pm; 2 days a week.
