The Media/PR Coordinator will execute a local media outreach campaign for this teen mentoring program.
The primary responsibility of the Media/PR Coordinator will be to share the stories of the mentees who benefit from the program and the incredible dedication of the mentors who make it all possible within their local print and online publications.
Responsibilities
- Writing press releases and other PR materials
- Interviewing mentors and mentees and writing their stories in the form of pitch letters to be pitched to mentors’ local papers
- Arranging media interviews, and developing speaking points and reference materials for internal and external spokespeople
- Building and maintain relationships with external partners including media, consultants and other influencers
- Overseeing coverage tracking/reporting and assist in the compilation of annual and program-specific reports
