The SUN program at Highland Elementary School, Davis Elementary is partnering with the Oregon Food Bank to provide thousands of pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to the Gresham community. Volunteers will help by setting produce up to make shopping easy, bagging produce into individual quantities, greeting people as they come for program, helping people sign-in, helping people shop, counting up daily participation, and cleaning up leftover produce and packaging.
We are looking for volunteer for:
-Highland Elementary: 295 NE 24th St, Gresham Fill 2nd & 4th Wednesday's of each month 1:00pm-6:00pm from January 14th-June 2015 (January 14th & 28th, Febryary 11th & 25th, March 11th & 25th, April 8th & 22nd, May 13th & 27th, June 10th & 24th)
-Davis Elementary: 19501 NE Davis St, Portland Fill 2nd Friday's of each month 1:00pm-5:00 pm from now- June 2015
-HB Lee Middle: 1121 NE 172nd Ave, Portland Fill 2nd Friday's of each month 1:00pm-5:00 pm from now- June 2015

Description
Metropolitan Family Service (MFS) volunteers serve in various capacities, depending on their areas of interest and abilities. Volunteers participate in on-going opportunities in one of three focus areas: helping children succeed, strengthening families and their connections to the community, and helping older adults and persons with disabilities live independently. We create opportunities that bridge generations and inspire everyone to live their best life.
