Help the blind athletes of non-profit BLINDSTART at the NEON Run at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma. It's going to be a colorful time starting at 5 PM as we prepare the powder packets, get ready for the NEON black light tunnel and set up for the paint stations along the 5K course.
Bring your friends along and help out BLINDSTART which raises funds for scholarships for blind and visually impaired people through exciting events like "the Blind Neon Run", Dragon Boating and Blind Survivor Mud Runs.

Blind Start of America is an award winning 501(c)3 non-profit organization, who's passion is bringing together sighted and visually impaired people through exciting athletic and social events like Dragon Boat Racing and the Blind Mud Run. Our mission is to provide scholarships for blind and visually impaired persons (VIPs) to develop job skills to enable them to ultimately lead lives of independence. These scholarships provide education, training, communication, transportation, adaptive equipment and technology.
Description
We raise awareness and money for visually impaired individuals. We do this by participating in marathons, dragon boat races, and mud runs.
