Short on time but still want to help? Volunteers of America is looking for volunteer drivers! We are looking for people who are willing to be on an on-call list for food drive pick ups. We get food throughout the year from a variety of community food drives, and need drivers to collect the food and bring it to our food bank. Some of our best quality food comes from these food drives! This is a great opportunity for someone who doesn't have a lot of time to give but wants to be available on an on-call basis.
Many of the pickups are small, between 6 - 12 banana boxes, and would be perfect for someone with a van or truck!
This volunteer position is best for volunteers who are comfortable lifting 30-50 lbs.
