Our non-profit, www.BLINDSTART.org, raises funds for blind athletes by handing out gear to all the athletes enrolled in the race. A volunteer will hand off a packet (which includes race bibs with safety pins, and a Neon head band) to these athletes.

Two shifts available 10 am to 3 pm and 2 pm to 7 pm on both Thursday and Friday October 2nd and 3rd at the Sports Authority

Free entry to Neon Run ($49 value) will be awarded to those who have completed their shifts! The Neon Run is a 5k race course filled with costumes, neon lighting, and music. Check it out at http://www.theneonrun.com/locations/seattle

Blind Start of America is an award winning 501(c)3 non-profit organization, who's passion is bringing together sighted and visually impaired people through exciting athletic and social events like Dragon Boat Racing and the Blind Mud Run. Our mission is to provide scholarships for blind and visually impaired persons (VIPs) to develop job skills to enable them to ultimately lead lives of independence. These scholarships provide education, training, communication, transportation, adaptive equipment and technology.

Description

We raise awareness and money for visually impaired individuals. We do this by participating in marathons, dragon boat races, and mud runs.
