Volunteers are needed to assist Housing Case Manager and participating families with interpretation and translation. Interpretation may be needed for in-person meetings, walk-ins, trainings, events, or phone calls. Translation services will be needed for program related forms and documents. Highest demand for those who speak both English and Spanish. Ability to adhere to confidentiality policies and conduct oneself in a professional manner is essential. Previous experience interpreting in an agency setting is helpful but certainly not required. Volunteers will most often provide service in Belmont’s Buffalo office (1195 Main St.), but the ability to travel locally is a plus. Hours are flexible; 9 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday; actual appointment with the client can be scheduled to meet the volunteer's availability.

Description
Volunteers are always in demand as we have countless projects underway and much work to accomplish. We welcome people who want to share their talents and interests with others. We're looking for people who would enjoy planning an activity for our senior residents or conducting an after-school program for our younger residents. Maybe someone would like to hone their office skills; we can make that happen. Whether folks are looking to give back to their community or get some real-world hands-on experience, Belmont's the place.
