PLACEMENT PURPOSE
To lead the Disaster Mental Health team, which provides mental health services to populations affected by disasters and assists with the mental health needs of our community during other phases of the disaster cycle. Please note that a current, unencumbered mental health license is required to serve in this role (counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, registered nurses with documented psychiatric training/experience and social workers.)
OPEN TIME DAYS
- Volunteer at least 4 hours per week, includes email time.
- Volunteer in office on a regular basis - may require extended hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Appropriate classes related to Mental Health activities, and Red Cross course requirements and leadership development.
