Our adoption events are held at the Burke Petco Petco. The adoption schedule can be viewed on the Animal Allies website (www.animalallies.com). Volunteer must be at least 18 years old. The adoption show assistant should plan to arrive at the appropriate store by 11:30 AM to ensure that the tables, chairs, and show cages are up and ready for the arrival of the animals for adoption. The assistant would remain at the adoption event to assist in showing the animals to the potential adopters. At the conclusion of the adoption event, the assistant will taking down the cages and cleaning up the area.

Mission Statement
We are a non-profit animal welfare organization staffed by volunteers. Our office is located in Fairfax Station, but we have volunteers all over the Washington DC metropolitan area. All gifts are tax-deductible and are used for the following purposes: To find homes for unwanted animals. To reduce the number of unwanted animals by altering adult animals. To trap/neuter/spay feral cats to help control the overpopulation of homeless animals. To maintain a sanctuary for our less adoptable cats so they can live out their lives in peace.
Description
Our main activities are the placement of adoptable animals; the housing of unplaceable animals; the trapping of feral cats in order to spay/neuter; the placement of feral kittens in foster homes for socialization if deemed appropriate; and the education of the public about the importance of spaying/neuterering animals. We have some independent foster homes making up a network of people who have their own list of animals.
