GE is holding their annual Family Fun Day event on Saturday, October 4th. Word has gotten around that Greer Relief has the BEST volunteers in town! Our friends from our Sooie't Relief BBQ Benefit, Pacer's Concessions, were so impressed with our volunteer support that they offered to donate $2,000 for the help of 40 Greer Relief Volunteers! Greer Relief knows asking for an afternoon of volunteering during football season is a huge favor, but this donation would be instrumental in helping our neighbors in need, especially with the holiday season fast approaching!

Description
Greer Relief provides emergency financial assistance to residents of Greer, Taylors, Duncan, Lyman & Wellford in crisis for rent/mortgages, utilities, and prescriptions. A Food Pantry & Clothing Closet are also available. Emergency assistance helps people who are experiencing sudden and unexpected problems with life’s basic needs. A Case Manager provides clients with individual attention to look at the entire situation...not just the emergency that brought them in the door but to see what other resources and agencies could further assist them.
The goal of Greer Relief is to meet the client’s immediate need by providing emergency aid to individuals and families so they are able to retain the service they are seeking assistance. We focus on assistance for the client to become self-sufficient so they do not rely on Greer Relief for repeated or long-term assistance.
