Volunteers Needed to Help Kids Connect with Future Economic Success!
Share A Part of Your Career Experience With Students at Buri Buri Elementary
Volunteers will:
- Receive ready-to-use materials provided by JA
- Teach five thirty minute lessons to a class of 24 elementary school students
- Receive a 1 hour training (can be at company worksite), and provide 4 hours on school site
- 4 volunteers still needed for 2nd grade!
Students will:
- Experience an exciting learning atmosphere at the school.
- Learn how business works and their role in the economy.
- Learn about many different jobs and careers.
- Be introduced to what awaits them as grown-ups in the work world

Junior Achievement of Northern California (JA) achieves this mission through teaching students about their expanding roles as individuals, consumers, employees, employers, and productive members of our society. Working in partnership with over 4,000 community and corporate volunteers, we provide empowering programs to K-12 students across 26 counties in Northern and Central California. JA's vision is to make a positive impact on the lives of all students in our operational area, and our efforts towards this ultimate goal are guided by these core values:

Alameda, Calaveras, Contra Costa, Fresno, Humboldt, Inyo, Madera, Marin, Mariposa, Mendocino, Merced, Mono, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Kings, Tulare, Glenn, and Tuolumne.
