A responible positive adult role model can have a huge Positive Impact on a childs life. Many kids in our community are looking for a positive role model they can look up to and talk to. This is wear being a mentor to a child(ages 8-13) can have that impact. This is an on site Mentor Program in which you just need to meet for just ONE hour a Week. You will engage and be a role model to the mentees. You'll be playing games, helping with homework, playing sports; helping with whatever the child may need. Sometimes they may just want an adult to talk to them and you'll be that Adult. Children will respect you and your time as well as abide by all Boys & Girls Club Rules. It's a great program and you really get to have an impact on the children and they love their mentors. BE A MENTOR!!! :-)

Mission Statement
The L.E.A.D. Mentor Program was created to help develop, support and guide "at risk" youth at the Boys & Girls Club. We will focus on building both Self-Esteem and Self Confidence for the youth to become responsible respectful individuals in our communities. A lot of our youth may be lacking in these areas so it will be up the program to help them develop self-esteem and grow beyond that. Our mentors will be role models. Many of our youth just need a positive role model in their life and this is the opportunity that you have by being their mentor. We want to encourage our youth to Dream. Dreams are attainable but the first step is having a dream in the first place. We encourage our youth to Explore. We want our youth to explore different experiences to become a well-rounded individual. We want them to Aim high and realized their full potential and strive to reach their full potential. Finally, we want them to Learn. We want them to Learn how to be respectful, responsible positive youth that hold the key to the future. Our youth do matter and we have to make sure they know this and it is our job to help them realize this.
Description
We're looking for role models in the community that are commited to the develop of our youth. Many of our youth just need a positive role model in their life to help them to grow to become a responsible adolescent. We'd like adults that like to be with kids and genuinely care about the kid and show they care.
