Homer A. Plessy Community School on the corner of Pauger and Urquhart has begun a new reading buddy program. We're looking for volunteers available twice a week for an hour Tuesdays and an hour Thursdays, 12:45-1:45pm (3rd Grade) and 9:30-10:30am (2nd Grade) on those days. Our current reading buddies are having a great rewarding experience and our kids are always excited to see them. But we still have a lot more students who need buddies! Interested volunteers can email me at vista.plessy@gmail.com. If this doesn't fit in your schedule don't worry, in the future, as the program expands, we'll have more varied timings. Note: Location is 2021 Pauger St. which is not the one listed. We are working on changing this.
