6th Annual Great Willamette River Cleanup

River enthusiasts in Eugene are invited to take part in the 2014 Great Willamette River Clean Up, a free family-friendly public event, uniting clean up efforts across 187 river miles in Oregon. Volunteer teams will be picking up trash along the Ruth Bascom Riverbank Trail.

Volunteers can register online at http://bit.ly/GreatCleanupLand-based volunteers should plan to arrive at 9:30 a.m. to participate in efforts at Maurie Jacobs (meet at Greenway Pedestrian Bridge) and Alton Baker parks for check-in and orientation. Event organizers will provide tools, water, gloves, and instruction. Volunteers should come prepared with appropriate footwear and clothing that they can get dirty.

Following the clean up, a free lunch will be provided by Oakway Catering. Beer provided by Ninkasi & Oakshire Brewing. Give-aways donated by Upstream Adventures, Caddis Fly, Eugene Skin Divers, Glory Bee Foods, and more. Entertainment will be provided by Pedal Power Music.
