The Earth, Air & Space Educational Foundation is seeking volunteers to join small research teams working jointly to compile background information for short "Ted"-like videos. The subjects of these interviews will be individuals related to the National Academy of Engineering’s Grand Challenges of Engineering. Interviewees biographies, existing videos, and other information relevant to the Grand Challenges is to be provided to filmmakers and interviewers prior to the production of these videos. Quality of background research will be critical to the development of dynamic, thoughtful and engaging media.
Researchers will work together primarily online as needed, on a flexible schedule, to develop this background information on an ever-growing list of potential interview subjects.

Our proposed Collaboratory at Moffett Field contains three program elements: (1) A world class science, technology, engineering, (art), and mathematics learning center (2) A National Historic Site and Grand Challenges exhibition center (3) An interact town hall science and technology conference and event center
