Join us Thanksgiving Day morning for the great Emmitsburg, Maryland tradition of the 6th Annual Wattle Waddle Turkey Trot; a 5mile/1mile run/walk! You and/or your whole family can help by participating as a walker/runner; or help to prepare/serve/clean-up a FREE community breakfast; or cheer on participants. Proceeds from participant registrations will benefit Seton Center’s mission in assisting low-income families meet basic needs through supportive human services and life skill programs.

Prizes will be awarded for best costume. Put your turkey in the oven, share a fun morning giving back, then return home to savor your bountiful holiday meal, knowing others can too because of your support!

Description

Seton Center, Inc. is a social service organization in northern Frederick County MD. We provide financial assistance for mortgage, rent, utility, clothing and medical expenses. We also offer the Seton Family Store (thrift shop), and case management, programs and services to guide and support client growth in the areas of life skills such as literacy, financial and health management.

We serve those living at the federal poverty AND/OR the ALICE (Asset-Limited, Income-Constrained, Employed) rate; those working for wages that do not support even the basic living expenses. We believe that each person is unique and should be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, creed or financial status.
