Sharing the Harvest is hoping to improve our volunteer training by creating a series of videos that show common tasks on the farm. We have limited access to editing software and skills in that area and are looking for a volunteer to help create and edit these short videos.
Topics will include:
- Seeding
- Transplanting
- Weeding
- Washing/weighing
- winter preparation
Having these training videos will greatly assist us to show volunteers what needs to be done in the fields and will help with overall efficiency so we can get more food to people who are hungry!

Description
Sharing the Harvest is a volunteer-driven community farm established in 2006 as a grassroots effort to fight hunger and help feed our neighbors in need. Thanks to the help of the Hunger Commission, donors and thousands of volunteers, we donate 100% of our produce and cage-free eggs to local hunger relief programs in New Bedford, Fall River and Wareham.
In the past eleven seasons, 20,749 volunteers have worked over 51,431 hours to plant, harvest and donate 453,570 pounds of food. That equals 2,845,975 servings of fresh food to our neighbors inneed!
Sharing the Harvest also provides hands-on educational opportunities for volunteers to confront the reality of hunger in our community. Our fields serve as an outdoor classroom for learners of all ages. We are proud to offer free service learning field trips.
