Teach Youth Emergency Preparedness Skills: Pillowcase Project Presenter

PLACEMENT PURPOSE
This is a national program being offered throughout 2014 in the Eastern Region. Using carefully assessed curriculum tools, this one-hour program provides emergency-preparedness education to youth in grades 3-5 in school and after-school settings. In a highly interactive format, the program addresses fire safety, local hazards, coping skills and making a personal emergency kit in a pillowcase that is supplied by the program.
OPEN TIME DAYS
2 hour commitment per presentation (1 hour set up/clean up, 1 hour presentation) not including picking up and dropping off materials from the Chapter, communting to and from presentation site, or any additioanl tasks done at the Chapter.

- Community disaster Education presenter traning
- Pillowcase Project presenter training (including teachbacks)
- Shadowing presentations with experienced presenters
- Recommended: Psychological First Aid
