ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Eastern Wisconsin Region

PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Support the Red Cross and Disaster Services by providing professional mental health services to disaster clients, their families, and other Red Cross volunteers. Include psychological triage, crisis intervention, assessment, and behavioral health consultation.

OPEN TIME DAYS

  • Handle cases over the phone, in the field, or at Red Cross office location.
  • Attend monthly meetings/conference calls as scheduled.

REQUIRED TRAINING
  • See Training Checklist for Disaster Mental Health
  • Foundations of Disaster Mental Health, ARC 30774A (8 hours)
  • Psychological First Aid (4 hours)
