Are you a problem solver? Do you have good analytical skills? If you want to use your skills while helping others, the SHINE (Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone) program wants you to volunteer!
As a trained SHINE counselor you will be able to provide health insurance and health benefits info, counseling, and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries. Most SHINE counselors commmit to two to four hours per week to provide this valuable service. Once trained, Mystic Valley Elder Services SHINE counselors volunteer at a variety of locations throughout 21 cities and towns north of Boston.
Volunteer applications are being taken now for participation in the 60-hour training program that will meet Spring through early Summer. For information about the SHINE program and how you can participate, please contact Leah Mulrenan, 781-388-2375.
