ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Virginia Region

OPEN TIME DAYS

Disaster Responders:

  • Local Disaster Action Team (DAT)members areon call 24 hours a day during their selected shift
  • National Responders are on call during major disaster according to their availability

Disaster Administrative Volunteers:

Approximately 4-6 hours per week

Community Outreach/Presenters:

Varies according to presentation/event

REQUIRED TRAINING

In order to provide the BEST possible service to our clients and to prepare the community for disasters, our disaster⦆volunteers⦆receive excellent training and an easy-to-complete career path.

Career path may be completed over a period of time depending on availability of volunteer.
