Friendly Visitor Volunteer and Senior

Come join our team of Friendly Visitor volunteers and make a special difference in the life of an isolated senior. Meet new people, make friends, and help the elderly in our community.

The Friendly Visitor Program makes a difference by decreasing feelings of loneliness and isolation among seniors. Volunteers are matched with a home-bound senior based on shared interests, geography, availability, and personality as much as possible.

Volunteers visit with their senior 1-2 hours a week and do things like play games, share stories, write letters, go for walks, and just being with a person who longs for companionship.

Opportunities are located throughout Placer County.

Volunteers will be trained, do a background check, oriented, supported and supervised. Visit our website and download our volunteer application at www.seniorsfirst.org or call 530-492-5409 or email volunteer@seniorsfirst.org
