For Rock'n Rebellion Race on Sunday 10-5-14
Volunteers will be stationed at streets along the route and to direct traffic to ways around the race street closures. Volunteers must be 21 years or older (4 can be 18 or older).You can bring your well behaved, leashed dog with you while you volunteer as route guards. (While you are filling this essential role, you will have a lot of downtime on post. So, the organizers have agreed that bringing your leashed, well-behaved dog with you would be a great way to represent SPCA Wake) and you can wave, they can wag at the passing runners...wear something comfortable. Comfortable shoes; a hat or ball cap is recommended, and bring your cell phone.

The mission of the SPCA of Wake County is to protect, shelter and promote adoption of homeless animals; to provide education about responsible pet ownership; and to reduce pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs.
Description
The SPCA of Wake County provides food, shelter and care for nearly 10,000 lost and abandoned animals per year. No animal is ever turned away. Before each adopted animal goes to its new home it receives a medical exam, initial shots, and microchip identification. All adopted animals are spayed or neutered before leaving the SPCA.
