The Panera Bread Program at Wesley Housing's Wexford Manor Community Resource Center offers a steady source of donated bread on a bi-weekly basis to families with limited economic and accessible resources . Participants in the program experience reduced household food budgets and food insecurities that are critical to achieving family stability. This is a great opportunity for weekend night owls who desire to offer their time to help others in need.
Plan to arrive at the Panera Bread location in the Masonic District of Falls Church in Merrifield, VA Friday or Saturday evening between 9:00pm-10:00pm on a bi-weekly basis to pick up boxes full of bagged bread and deliver to the Wexford Manor Community Resource Center. Drop off the boxes and fill two bins with the bread donations, then secure the center upon completion.
Delivery Schedule: Flexible Friday or Saturday evening pick up between 9:00pm-10:00pm on a bi-weekly basis starting the weekend of October 10th.
Time Commitment: Minimum one bi-weekly delivery per month for one hour.
Qualifications: Must have use of a vehicle large enough to transport 2-3 boxes of bread. Must be reliable, punctual and able to lift boxes of bread (up to 10 lbs). Must pass background check.
