ORGANIZATION: Refugee Resettlement Office

Recently there have been some special refugee families who have just moved to Kent. These families have volunteered to be in the RRO's Job Intensive Program. Instead of accepting government assistance these families have opted to enter this program and find a job as soon as possible with little to no formal assistance.

To get a job they need to overcome formal obstacles like knowing how to prepare for a job interview. How to ride the bus or learn to drive in America. They also need help with informal obstacles like English vocabulary that deals with doctor visits, enrolling children into school and food shopping.

You will work with a team of 7 staff members of the Refugee Resettlement Office. The need of the refugess while sometimes shared and common with one another will sometimes be as varied as the individual.

You may even build support in your own community if you feel inspired. Want to inspire your religious group, school group or other community group to help. The RRO will work with you to either support your individual efforts or that of your group effort.

This position has proven to be a great fit for seniors as well!
