The Wildlife Rescue Center, located in West St. Louis County, rehabilitates injured, sick, and orphaned native wildlife and releases healthy animals to their natural habitat. Annually the Wildlife Rescue Center fields over 10,000 calls from the public who ask for assistance and advice concerning encounters with wildlife. We never charge for our services, and as a nonprofit organization funding is of paramount importance to be able to continue to carry out our mission.

We have summer positions available, and the education/event intern's responsibility will be mainly to work with our education coordinator on the following events:

  • Open House
  • Summer Camp ages 6-11
  • Tails of the Night (October family event)
  • JWE (Junior Wildlife Explorers Program)

Jobs tasks will include:

  • Working with and creating organizational partnerships
  • Registration and ticketing
  • JWE season pass enrollment
  • Promotional materials and postings
  • Solicitation of in-kind donations and partnerships
  • Execution of events
  • Nature-based programming preparation

Description

The Wildlife Rescue Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit helping people help wildlife. Through education and community outreach, we work to lessen negative human impact on our environment. When wild animals are injured, sick, or orphaned, we provide the expert care they need to return home.
