Through a variety of training initiatives, FSW’s WorkSkills program trains adults to obtain jobs in today’s economy, helping ensure a living wage for our clients, and a skilled workforce for our state.

The WorkSkills program is actively recruiting to fill the volunteer position of Classroom Assistant to provide assistance to a Lead Instructor in Customer Service and Digital Literacy trainings for adults and young adults, 3 to 5 hours per week. Position responsibilities include providing training assistance in delivering the training curriculum; assisting the Lead Instructor in facilitating partner and small group activities; and assisting the Lead Instructor and Program Coordinator in the collection of paperwork, classroom management, and responding to participant’s questions. Position requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education; proficiency with Microsoft Office, computing fundamentals and Internet navigation; success in simplifying and communicating ideas and tasks; experience interacting with people of diverse ages and cultures; reliable; and able to function as a member of a team. Experience in teaching, training or tutoring adults in classroom or workplace settings is helpful.
