Assist Human Services Professionals by becoming a librarian for 4 hours a week. Flexible daytime hours are available on any weekday (8:00-4:00 PM), located at the Anoka County Government Center
Highly organized, self-directed volunteer would be able to use email, Internet, use or learn Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel to organize a library and manage the database.
Duties:
- Inventory all materials
- Maintain database to track all materials
- Over-see the library check out system
- Distribute all material requests to staff via interoffice mail
- Keep the County intranet updated
- Update division staff regularly about new materials
- Communicate with division staff via email
- Make reminder calls to staff about due dates

The Anoka County RSVP connects people age 55 and over who want to volunteer with non-profit and social service programs in Anoka County who need volunteers. Volunteers enroll by completing a skills and interests checklist and these are matched to community needs. From the matches, the volunteer selects a volunteer job that is meaningful and fits. Become one of nearly a half million RSVP volunteers across the country who are making a difference in their community.
