ORGANIZATION: Volunteers of America Texas

Volunteers of America Texas is in search of passionate and energetic individuals to lead exercise classes for the women at Shadydell LIGHT, a residential substance abuse treatment facility for women and women with children.

The exercise class leader will be responsible for providing music and any necessary equipment for teaching different types of fitness classes. Volunteers will preferably have experience or certification in teaching fitness. This is an opportunity to interact with residents in a fun and relaxed environment. Volunteering in this capacity will help clients stay active and improve their physical and mental health and to build their self-esteem. We need a volunteer who can conduct an exercise class for our clients. The volunteer’s job will be to provide aerobics and any other exercise instructions to our clients on a weekly basis.
