Bike MS Rest Stops - Bring a Friend!

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National MS Society, Upstate New York

Join us at one of our biggest events of the year! Our Bike MS Hudson River Ramble cyclists will travel throughout the Lower Capital Region completing a 100 mile ride.

Across the miles we will have a number of rest stops set up for the cyclists where they can take a break, stretch their legs, get something to eat and drink, and socialize before they head back out on the road and continue their ride for MS.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to oversee our rest stops.

We provide the set-up, you provide the fun! These hard working cyclists are doing something for MS and appreciate the help, kindness and support that our rest stop volunteers share.

Bring a friend or two to man the rest stop with you. Or, join a group that’s already on board. We look forward to having you spend some time with our cyclists during Bike MS!

Shifts that day will depend on rest stop location.

Mission Statement

To help create a world free of MS.

Description

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers three key fundraising activities: The Bike MS Ride, Walk MS and Walk MS Challenge. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
