On Tuesday, Dec. 2nd, 2014, also known as #GivingTuesday worldwide, KenCrest will be hosting a Day of Service throughout the Philadelphia & Southeastern PA region. Projects will range from light maintenance, cleaning, and painting, to visiting with residents with disabilities to brighten their holiday season.
If you are interested in volunteering with KenCrest that day, please reply to this posting with your location so you may be partnered with a site close to your community. We will work with you to find a site and project that fit your interests and abilities.
KenCrest currently serves Philadelphia, Montgomery, Delaware, Chester and Bucks counties.
Sample projects include but are not limited to:
- sorting/categorizing books at one of our daycare centers
- weatherproofing/winterizing outdoor furniture
- painting/weatherproofing playground fencing

Description
Founded in 1905, KenCrest is the largest provider of community-based services to people with intellectual & developmental disabilities and autism in southeastern Pennsylvania. KenCrest has a staff of 2,300 and provides services to over 12,000 individuals through a community-based model. KenCrest's programs and facilities span the Philadelphia region's six counties (Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia), Delaware, and Connecticut.
Services
Our services include Early Intervention, Head Start, PA State PreK, Residences for Medically Fragile Children, Personal Support, Community Living, Lifesharing, and Employment Services for people with developmental disabilities, and transition services for youth and adults with Autism.
