Would you like to help fill Hopelink’s food bank shelves, and help feed your neighbors in need? Teams of 3-4 people are needed to help collect food donations at local grocery stores for the annual Mayor’s Day of Concern for the Hungry food drives. On Saturday, September 27th, you can turn just a few hours of time into tons of food for hungry local families served by Hopelink just in time for Fall/Winter!

Drives will be held at four stores in Shoreline, the Fred Meyer on Aurora, the Safeway on Aurora, the Safeway on 175 th and the Richmond Beach QFC. There are three shifts available, 9am-12pm, 12-3pm, and 3-5pm.

Description

Hopelink is the largest private, non-profit, social service agency in north and east King County. Hopelink started in 1971 in Bothell to assist families who had been affected by Boeing lay-offs with job search services. Since then, Hopelink has grown to include six emergency service centers and food banks, and programs in housing, family development, childcare, transportation, and more. In July of 2001, Eastside Literacy became a program of Hopelink, adding Adult Literacy and English as a Second Language services to our programs. Over 2000 Hopelink volunteers help their neighbors work towards lasting change each year.
